PURE HAPPINESS
What is Pure Happiness?
The definition of the word pure is “not adulterated with any other substance or material”.
As such, pure happiness is not a reference to the substance-induced states of pleasure. Nor is it be confused with any sort of pleasured derived from external material objects of any kind.
Instead, pure happiness speaks to the joy that arises organically from within us when we live authentically, and to live authentically means to live in alignment with the expansion of the universe.
Happiness is divine signal that we are aligned.
By definition, something is Divine if it is “of, from, or like God”. Happiness satisfies all three of these, and it satisfies you too. That is because you and God are one.
God is not a thing but the creative source of all things. God is consciousness. “Do not say the Lord’s name in vain”
Vanity by definition is the obsession to physical form. To say the lord’s name in vain is to make God a thing. (Sin is separation and indeed vanity is a deadly one).
The moment one makes God a thing they have separated from God.
"My Father and I are one" (John 10:30)
Pure happiness does not come from seeking to complete ourselves through externals, but realizing that we are already complete.
We are already complete?
The whole truth is that the truth is whole.
Both science and spirituality agree — the universe is one, interconnected, whole — it’s only our ego that deludes us into thinking otherwise.
The ego sees itself as separate from everyone else and cut off from the whole, and so it puts us in a perpetual state of lack and loneliness – that no amount of money, relationships, achievements — food, drugs, or anything external can ever truly fulfill.
The ego could eat the entire planet and still be hungry, and indeed at a collective level that’s exactly what’s happening.
Fortunately, the ego’s idea of a separate self is incorrect — it defies the reality of the universe, which is why it creates so much stress and suffering. The friction of going against the true nature of reality creates all our negative thoughts and emotions.
But if we transcend the ego, we realize our true self is the whole, and so we finally become whole.
All of our unwholesome thoughts and emotions are replaced with positive wholesome ones and we find true joy and fulfillment.
We align with the true nature of reality and the universe expands without our resistance now that we are part of it. Matter of fact, we are it. :)
